Humana activities in Turkey are carried out through a large-scale sorting centre located in the Mersin Free Zone. Operating since 2004, the facility focuses on sorting second-hand clothing and footwear, playing an important role in the international reuse network.

With a team of 265 employees, the centre processes approximately 320 tonnes of textiles per week, sorting items into around 400 different categories based on type, quality, and market demand.

After sorting and quality control, textiles are distributed to more than 30 countries across five continents, including Europe, Asia, Africa, Eurasia, and South America, ensuring that each item reaches its most suitable market.

The operations are supported by internationally recognised standards, including ISO certifications for quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. The company is also recognised under the national Zero Waste Program, reflecting its commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.
