The TCE KFw project is a continuation of the long-lasting partnership Humana People to People South Africa has with the Foundation for Professional Development through the National Department of Health and KFw – a German Development Bank, which cooperates with the National Department of Health.

The idea of the TCE KFw Project is to implement a comprehensive HIV and AIDS (and TB4), prevention, testing and referral intervention program that will target young people between the ages of 15–19 years, their families and communities with high incidents of the HIV infection.

The project is currently Providing HIV Testing Services, Tuberculosis /Sexually Transmitted Infections and Non-Communicable Diseases Screening in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan and OR Tambo Health Districts in the Eastern Cape.

The focus is on door-to-door campaigns, provision of HIV Testing Services, linkages and referrals, Condom Promotion and Provision, Tuberculosis /Sexually Transmitted Infections and screening of Non-Communicable Diseases, capacity building, and Quality Assurance and Proficiency Testing on the Rapid HIV Testing kits, as well as Behaviour Change Communication and Mobilisation Activities.
