Malaria Prevention (Mozambique)
The project mobilizes people to take control of malaria by implementing malaria prevention actions in their homes and communities and by seeking early treatment of malaria infection at the health centers. The project also trains school teachers, community activists and volunteers as malaria advocacy experts. The project strengthens linkages with district health facilities by coordinating its activities with provincial and district health authorities.
The project is implemented in collaboration with the National Malaria Program, from the Mozambique Ministry of Health. The project reaches about half a million people every year.
