The KNEC POF Teacher Training program aims at ensuring that children have access to early childhood development education and preschools are well equipped with professionally trained personnel. The  program has engaged people from the surrounding communities of Kwa Zulu Natal province, whose passion is on early child development; on a one year preschool teacher training program in order to obtain a certificate on early childhood development NQF level 4 which is a qualification to teach children between the age of 0 – 4 years

The program aims at giving an opportunity to students who are already working within early childhood development, but do not have the necessary qualification. The course is offered in full time and in part time modules.  Training is offered to members of the community who are either working or have an interest in the field of ECD or who have an interest in starting their own ECD centers.
