Farmers Clubs Gutu (Zimbabwe)

DAPP Farmers’ Clubs Gutu started in 2011. It began with a Garden Farming project and towards its end a3 year classic Famers’ Club project was launched in January 2013 focusing on all farming activities.

From January 2017 to December 2018, Farmers’ Clubs Gutu implemented climate change resilience activities with funding support from the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP- 10YFP) and which ended in December 2018. As a way to buttress the results achieved through the lifetime of the project, an extension was set to December 2019.

In 2020 the idea of the project is to establish a Farmers’ Clubs for 1,000 small farmers in wards 8, 9 and 37.The clubs will be organized into core groups towards promoting active farmer participation in the day to day running of agriculture activities including other social activities that support agriculture production.

The project will run from January to December 2020, and will further consolidate the gains achieved in the previous projects.
