Communal to Commercial Farmer Project Siyalima (Zimbabwe)
The idea of the project, established in 2019, is to develop 157 farmers resettled under the A1 Model to conduct agriculture as a business through changing their mindsets. The program highly focuses on developing farmer skills that enhance the copping strategies of farmers to the effects of Climate Change.
The farmers will be organized according to the production sectors such as dry land farming, irrigation farming, horticulture, fisheries and animal husbandry production. The farming productions will have core groups and committees to ensure effective running of the farming activities. The project support farmers to be business minded and increase their production.
