Child Aid Umthatha (South Africa)

The objective of the project is to improve the quality of life in development experiences for the disadvantage Orphans Vulnerable Children and the community at large. Child Aid Umthatha is implemented in a rural settlement populated by poor and disadvantaged families. Most of the families has no income as parents are unemployed.

Child Aid Umthatha will provide of cooked meals to 30 orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), School support (monitoring school attendance, helping OVC with school homework), assist with personal hygiene (educate the beneficiaries with health and hygiene information and provide hygiene packs), do recreational activities with the OVCs, referring the OVC to the relevant services, have school holiday programs and render outreach services. The project will render services to 30 Orphan and Vulnerable children to improve their lives.

The project will reach  1000 people in 2020.
