Education Action in Rural Areas (Angola)
Education Action in Rural Areas works to improve the quality of education in rural communities across the provinces of Cuanza Norte, Malanje, and UĂge. The project focuses on strengthening teachers’ skills through training, pedagogical support, and practical learning methods that help create more inclusive and effective classrooms.
The initiative places a strong emphasis on STEM education, reading and writing skills, e-learning, and gender equality in schools. In 2025 alone, more than 3,300 teachers received training through the project, while 900 future teachers participated in educational activities and training programs. The project also supports schools with educational materials, improved learning environments, and upgraded sanitation facilities in 200 schools to help create safer and more supportive conditions for students – especially girls.
By working closely with teachers, schools, families, and local communities, the project aims to reduce educational inequalities between urban and rural areas while helping more children gain access to quality education and better opportunities for the future.
