Humana activities in Oman focus on large-scale textile sorting operations, playing an important role in the international second-hand value chain. The sorting centre handles clothing and footwear, ensuring that each item is directed to its most suitable next use.

Activities in Oman started in January 2012 and have since grown significantly, both in scale and capacity.
Today, the operations employ 280 people, including both local and international staff, supporting a structured and efficient sorting process.
At the sorting centre, textiles arrive in bulk and go through several stages of sorting. Items are first separated into categories and then further sorted by type, such as women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, as well as by quality grades. After quality control, garments are prepared for distribution to different markets, depending on their condition and quality.
Higher-quality items are supplied to markets in Europe and the Middle East, while other grades are distributed to Africa and Asia. Textiles that are not suitable for reuse are processed for recycling or used for energy recovery in industrial applications.

Through its operations, Humana Oman ensures efficient reuse of textiles, supports global distribution, and contributes to reducing environmental impact.
